Title: What's for Dinner?-- Eating with Themed Meal Cards
Date and Time: (Thursday July 24, 3-3:50 ET)
Brief Description: Join Donald Altman, M.A., LPC for an exploration of how to bring into mealtime the mindful eating concepts of mindfulness, intention, contemplation, letting go, blessings, and hunger & taste. As the creator of Mindful Eating Meal Cards, Donald will share his experiences in using these cards in working with groups. This will be an interactive call, and if you have brought concepts such as these into patient meals, we want to hear your ideas and experiences!
Target Audience: (Dietitians, Mental health therapists, Nutrition therapists, Physicians, Nurses, Health Educators.)
Educational Objectives: Participants will 1) learn how to stimulate reflection around mealtime on a variety of themes; 2) deepen clients' understanding of mindful eating; 3) help clients find a topic that they connect to and change their relationship with food at the meal.
