Megrette Fletcher is a co-founder and director of The Center for Mindful Eating. Presently, she works as a dietitian and certified diabetes educator in Dover NH. She is a professional writer, and has written a number of articles on counseling, interpersonal neurobiology, mental health, and motivation. Additional writing credits include co-authoring Discover Mindful Eating: A resource of handouts for health professionals, published by DayOne publishing 2005. Megrette received her masters in nutrition education in 1992. She is a professional speaker and has been leading workshops since 1996.
Her 20 year interest in mindfulness became a formal practice in 2000 when she joined Aryaloka Buddhist Retreat Center. She has a particular interest in Tibetan Buddhism, and is studying the teachings of Lama Yeshe. Megrette has two young girls and lives in New Hampshire.
